Calibration status that actually stops the batch
An out-of-calibration instrument used in a batch is a finding, and often a rejected batch. This module holds the equipment register, drives the preventive maintenance and calibration plan, and makes the qualification status available to the batch record so an unqualified device simply cannot be selected.

Equipment Maintenance — common questions
Can an out-of-calibration instrument be used in a batch?
No. Calibration status is exposed to the batch record, and an instrument past its due date cannot be selected for a step. This is the most common reason plants take this module first.
Does it cover utilities as well as production equipment?
Yes. The register covers production equipment, laboratory instruments and utilities, each with its own maintenance and calibration schedules and history record.
