Costing

What the batch actually cost, not what the standard said

Batch costing in pharma has to carry landed material cost, stage-wise yield loss, recovery credits and the overhead of the line that made it. DeepPharmaERP builds the cost from the transactions that already happened, so the cost sheet and the ledger never disagree.

Batch cost

  • Batch costing on the landed price of materials actually consumed
  • Stage-wise cost build-up with yield loss and recovery credits
  • Product cost sheet in the format your finance team already uses
  • Product-wise and batch-wise costing summary with variance to standard

Analysis

  • Material consumption summary against theoretical requirement
  • WIP stock valuation by stage

AI in this module

What the system notices for you

Suggestions only. Nothing here signs, approves or dispositions anything — a qualified person decides and the audit trail records who. Every model shows the data behind its suggestion, and every feature can be switched off per site.

DeepPharma AI

Cost driver analysis

Explains why this batch cost more than the last one, ranked by contribution.

DeepPharma AI

Margin erosion alerts

Flags products whose realised margin is drifting away from the priced margin.

DeepPharma AI

What-if costing

Models the cost effect of a vendor change, a batch size change or a yield improvement before you commit to it.

Questions

Costing — common questions

Is batch cost based on standard or actual?

Actual. The cost is built from the landed price of the material actually consumed and the stage-wise yield actually achieved, so the cost sheet and the general ledger cannot disagree.

Are recoveries credited back to the batch?

Yes. Solvent and material recovery is credited against the batch that generated it, which matters in API costing where recovery is a large part of the margin.
